Fees and Payment
I charge $120 for a 50-minute therapy session. I accept payments by credit card, check, and Health Savings Account cards.
I am a preferred provider (in network) for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. That means that after you meet your deductible, you pay me a copay at the time of service and the insurance company will cover the rest. I will submit claims for you.
I am out of network with all other insurance companies. If you have another insurance company and think I would be a good fit for you as a therapist, please call the insurance company to find out about your out-of-network benefits before scheduling a session. Questions to ask:
- What is my deductible?
- How much of the deductible have I met for the year?
- What percentage of outpatient behavioral health therapy fees do you reimburse?
Most insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health benefits that reimburse between 40-60 percent of "allowable" fees. Insurers are required to provide reimbursement within 30 days of receiving a claim. I email statements monthly that you can file with insurance for reimbursement.
