Fees and Payment
I charge $130 for a 50-minute therapy session. I accept payments by credit card, check, and Health Savings Account cards.
Insurance Reimbursement
I am a provider (in network) for Blue Cross Blue Shield Preferred Provider Organization plans. That usually means you pay me a copay at the time of service and the insurance company will cover the rest. In some cases, your insurance plan requires you to meet a deductible prior to covering services.
I will submit claims for you. (Please note: I am not an in-network provider for plans offered by the federal government's healthcare marketplace such as Blue Home or Blue Local).
I am out of network with all other insurance companies. If you have another insurance company and think I would be a good fit for you as a therapist, please call the insurance company to find out about your out-of-network benefits before scheduling a session. Questions to ask:
- What is my deductible, if any?
- How much of the deductible have I met for the year?
- What percentage of outpatient behavioral health therapy fees do you reimburse?
Most insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health benefits that reimburse between 40-60 percent of "allowable" fees. Insurers are required to provide reimbursement within 30 days of receiving a claim. I email statements monthly that you can file with insurance for reimbursement.
